July Challenge

Happy July everyone and welcome to a brand new challenge on Beading Friends Forever. Wow we are now in the 2nd half of the year - how did that happen???? Thankyou so much to all of you who entered the June challenge, the entries were beautiful. I love looking at the different interpretations of the tutorial and theme. The winner will be announced tomorrow so make sure you come back to see if it is you.

There are a few changes to the design team this month - some goodbyes and hellos ..... I am sure you will continue to be inspired by the DT.

The format for the challenge is still the same - 2 parts comprising of a theme and a tutorial. You can enter each part 3 times so that makes 6 chances to win each month. The rules are listed on the sidebar for you to follow.

June Challenge

Welcome everyone to a brand new challenge here on Beading Friends Forever. I am so pleased that there are so many of you sharing your beautiful creations with us every month on this blog and also on our Facebook Group. We almost have 300 members now .... that is a lot of inspiration and help..... plus friendship.

As many of you know our challenge is split into 2 parts - a theme and a tutorial. You can enter 3 times for each part which means you can enter 6 times in total. All the rules are in the sidebar for you to follow.

Tutorial - In the Garden Wrap Bracelet

I am really delighted that beadshop.com have allowed us to use their video for our tutorial this month. Brittany Ketcham shows us how to make these stunning bracelets. There are also some fabulous examples on their website to view.

Leather

S-Lon / C-Lon in a variety of colours

8/0 seed beads and hex beads (you can use 8/0 if you do not have these)

May Challenge

Good afternoon to you all. Wow, is it May already? I cannot believe how fast this year is passing - it will be Christmas before we know it. April was a wonderful month and it saw lots of you taking up Kumihimo, there were so many wonderful entries and creations and lots of shares and tips on our facebook group. There were also some very gorgeous jewellery sets - there is so much creativity out there.

This month Beading Friends Forever sees a brand new challenge comprising of two parts as usual. You can enter 3 creations in each part of the challenge which means 6 entries in total. All the other rules are on the sidebar so please just take a moment to check them out - there are not many.

April Challenge

Happy April everyone. I can hardly believe another month has passed already, the year is going so quickly. A warm welcome to all our new friends both on the blog and our ever expanding facebook group. Beaders really are the nicest people!

A usual we will have a 2 part challenge - tutorial and theme, however from this month the rules will change slightly. We have decided to limit the amount of times you can enter. You can add 3 entries for each part of the challenge - so that is 6 in total. You can still make more than this and share on our facebook page but they will not be eligible for the random draw. Hopefully this will make it is as fair as possible for everyone to be in with a chance of winning.

As usual we have a £15 voucher from Beads Direct, our wonderful sponsors, to spend at their online store. They have some really fabulous products at very competitive prices plus lots of great tutorials and inspiration.

Tutorial - 8 warp Kumihimo

Feel free to use S-Lon, Rat tail or beads on your kumihimo creations. You can also add charm carriers with pretty charms for a fun look.
